Our Mission
DOCARE International is a medical outreach organization dedicated to providing sustainable healthcare and education to under-resourced communities worldwide. We believe that health is a fundamental right, and we strive to bridge the gap in access for those facing an "ambush of circumstance."
What We Do
Since 1961, DOCARE has delivered high-impact ethical medical care through a dual-model approach that prioritizes both immediate relief and long-term wellness.

Global Health Outreach Trips: These short-term missions (1–2 weeks) deploy teams of physicians, residents, students, and support volunteers to provide acute care and public health initiatives in remote regions.

Health Education: A core component of DOCARE clinics is preventative health education. Volunteers provide direct teaching to patients on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, maternal health, and the management of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension using culturally adapted materials.
Our Roots: A Legacy of Service
DOCARE was born from the spirit of adventure and a profound commitment to service. In 1961, our founders—a small group of osteopathic physicians—began flying their own small aircraft into the remote mountains and deserts of northwestern Mexico. Their goal was simple: to bring life-saving care to the isolated Tarahumara people.
Today, that same spirit of innovation and compassion drives our work across three continents. While our methods have evolved, our core philosophy remains rooted in the osteopathic tradition: treating the whole person and partnering with communities to create lasting change.
How We Make an Impact
